Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Recuip AI Technology Private Limited ("Revuin," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use revuin.com (the "Service"), in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable Indian law.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, username, password (stored as a salted hash), account role, avatar.
- Profile information you provide: bio, skills, location, rates, portfolio images, work history, company details.
- Usage data: tool inputs/outputs (e.g. domains analyzed, keywords researched), job postings, proposals, messages between users, reviews.
- Payment data: processed directly by our payment partner, Razorpay — we do not store your full card or bank details.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, and log data collected automatically for security and rate-limiting purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Service — SEO tools, marketplace, messaging, and job board.
- To process payments via Razorpay and send transactional email (e.g. password resets, email verification) via Amazon SES.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms — including suspicious proposal volume, fake reviews, and account suspension.
- To respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following processors strictly to operate the Service:
- Razorpay — payment processing
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — file and image storage (avatars, portfolio items)
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — transactional email delivery
- Amazon Web Services (Lightsail) — application hosting
- Google (Sign in with Google) — if you choose to sign in with your Google account, Google verifies your identity and shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us; we do not receive your Google password.
These providers are contractually permitted to use your data only to provide services to Revuin.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on infrastructure operated via AWS. We use industry-standard measures — password hashing, rate limiting, and access controls — to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records) or to enforce our Terms (e.g. preventing a suspended account from re-registering).
6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your data;
- Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the basis for processing;
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- File a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below), and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, our Grievance Officer can be reached at privacy@revuin.com.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
Revuin uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to keep you signed in via a session token. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
9. Mobile App (Android)
This section describes how the Revuin Android app ("App") — Revuin, package name com.revuin.optimizer, developed by Recuip AI Technology Private Limited — collects and processes data, in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy, which also applies to the App.
Data sent to Revuin's servers
- Your email address and account identity, to sign you in.
- If you use Sign in with Google, the Google ID token needed to verify your identity (see "Third-Party Service Providers" above).
- The business name, category, address, country, and public listing identifiers (such as a Google Place ID or CID) for the business profile you're optimizing.
- The business description and keywords you enter or select.
- Public profile-completeness data used to generate your audit/checklist.
- Content you ask the App to generate — Google Business Profile post drafts, and the topic/details/tone/goal/call-to-action/keywords you provide for custom post generation.
Data kept only on your device
The following stays on your device and is never sent to Revuin's servers: your signed-in session token (stored using Android's encrypted, Keystore-backed storage), post drafts you've locally edited, any Google review link you've pasted into the App, review-request messages you've drafted, and your weekly posting planner (scheduled items, reminders, and posted/planned status). Clearing the App's storage, signing out, or uninstalling the App removes this local data — it does not delete your Revuin account or the data listed above that's stored on our servers (see "Data Retention" below for how to do that).
How we use this data
Solely to operate the App's features: authentication, setting up your business profile, business search, keyword suggestions, generating your audit/checklist, generating post content, and storing your generated-post history so you can find it again later.
Sharing
- The App does not publish anything to your Google Business Profile automatically — generated posts are meant to be copied and pasted in by you.
- If you choose to share a review request or a generated post, the App opens Android's standard share sheet (e.g. WhatsApp, SMS, email, or your browser) — Revuin does not see or record who you shared with or what was sent; that exchange happens directly between your device and the app you chose.
- The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, call log, or SMS messages.
Security
Data sent to Revuin's servers travels over HTTPS. Your session token is stored using Android's encrypted local storage. Server-side, we apply the same safeguards described in "Data Storage and Security" above.
Retention and deletion
We retain the App's server-stored data for as long as your account is active, per "Data Retention" above. To delete your account and the business/post data associated with it, email support@revuin.com or privacy@revuin.com. There is currently no self-serve in-app or dashboard deletion option — deletion requests are handled by our team by email.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service, including the App, is a business tool intended for business owners and operators. It is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. International Data Transfers
Some of our infrastructure providers (e.g. AWS, Google) may process or store data outside India. We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are consistent with applicable data protection law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email.
